Thanks for visiting the new official blog/website, it should serve as an excellent way to keep up on where I'm at and what I've gotten myself into at any given time.
And speaking of such matters, some visitors to this page will have arrived here seeking information regarding my sudden absence from the airwaves of the Mountain on Sunday mornings. Well to you folks I say thank you for looking into the matter, I've included the details here in an open letter to Joe Q Public:
Dear Joe Q,
On Sunday, March 16th, I played a song with everybody's favorite expletive included in the lyrics (by accident of course - and thanks Joe Jackson!), in doing so I signed my own pink slip. In corporate radio the F word ranks higher on the "Protect the People" scale than exposed nipple flesh simply because of it's audio nature. As a result of my infraction I was asked to submit to a pre programmed show; instead I chose to leave.
I understand the station's position as government fines for this kind of issue are just ridiculous - if the FCC put as much energy into keeping diversity alive as they do into policing for swear words we'd all be much better off.
Sunday Brunch was a true labor of love for me and a great pleasure to put together live each week. I want to thank all my listeners for tuning into the program and the Mountain for allowing me the freedom to host such a unique show over the years.
Music programming and broadcasting are in my blood and one of these days I'll get back at it, either in radio or elsewhere, but first I'm going to sleep in late for a few Sundays and make sure to enjoy the experience!
Check back here again soon and I'll let you know what's next. In the mean time I'll devote some web space to reviewing and recommending music here on this page.
Thanks again, see you soon,
Drew

Drew, I am so bummed to hear I won't be able to hear you on the mountain anymore. Your show was the one place I could listen to new stuff coming out of Ireland. Please use this space to give us a heads up on interesting new music you come across. Best of luck and I hope to hear you over the air again sometime soon!

What a bunch of gutless weasels at the Mountain! Your show and the unique songs on your play list were the only reason I tuned in to KMTT.
This is the email I sent to the program director of the mountain. I hope others do the same.
I've been listening to your station since it came on the air. I've been to many of your events and won some great promotions over the year. When I came back from vacation I assumed that Drew Dundin must be on vacation. This morning I got curious and started searching the web and learned why Drew is gone. I can't believe it. A play list that responds to listener request and whims of a knoweable disk jockey is why I have listened to Sunday morning brunch every week and then listened to other shows throughout the rest of the week.
I will be returning to listening to this station when Drew comes back-until then I'll be station surfing between the other 4 stations that have any redeeming merit (and those don't include any of the others on your corporate portfolio)-It doesn't surprise me but I hoped for more from this station. It shows the shallowness of your progressive posture. Sorry for the rant but I've bragged on a number of occassions to my friends in other areas about the great show we have here (and a few had started listening on the internet).
Dear Drew,
I must admit I shouted the exact expletive that caused all this in the first place when I read your post.
What a terrible loss for the station and you and US!
Please enjoy your rest and know how you have impacted your listeners and that the hole left by your departure is very deep.
I too will be filing a protest on your behalf with KMTT.
Remember independent radio is still out here (although without monetary reward) and always looking for a wonderful talent such as yours.
You have friends in Everett
Lauri and Pat Langston
Mr Drew,
I too couldn't figure out why you were missing recently from the Sunday Brunch show(and why it had gotten sooo bland) so went searching for answers. It's most unfortunate to hear you have moved on, as I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you. I have to say ALL of the music I've purchased in the past couple of years directly originated from listening to your eclectic program. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors. Cheers from a true fan.
Dear Drew, I was looking at your myspace to find out where you went. The music on Sunday Brunch being not up to your standards of excellence. I also thought you must be on vacation. I can't believe you won't be coming back. What a mistake on the Mountains part. I will miss your voice and won't be tuning in on Sunday's anymore. Take care and best wishes to you.
Drew,
F*** the Mountain! I can't believe they let you go over a loose expletive. I get that the FCC isn't making life easy in this age of thought-policing, but I also thought KMTT had more starch. What a pity!
I agree with the others... enjoy your rest. I'll be eagerly anticipating news of your return to the airwaves... or maybe webcasting?
Cheers!
Chris
Wow I did wonder where you had disappeared to and had hoped you were just on holiday. Seems to be a bit of an over reaction on their part if this was the first time you had played a song with "fuck" in it on this station. *shrug* I hope you are back on the air somewhere soon. I really enjoyed the music you played.
Drew,
I'm so dispressed. Sunday was a blessing to listen to you and all that great music I loved, you did so much research, and the songs were so good !!
I want you back !!!
I looked forward to Sunday... now I have no excuse not to go to church.
You must have gotten your Irish up Ha..HA I KNOW ALL ABOUT THAT.
I did email KMTT with my thoughts on your leaving.
Hope you will find a station that will accomidate our kind of music. Until then I have your picture sitting on top of my radio.
You have a great "fan base" here.
Love you
Sharon
Drew,
My husband and I listened to you every Sunday morning when we were in Seattle. You even came to one of the shows we produced in our series in West Seattle. We then went on a three month tour of Europe and finally settled in Greensboro, NC. Over the last week or so my hubby and I have been discussing how we miss the Mountain and you on Sundays so we decided to tune in via the web today to hear your voice and your choice of tunes. MUCH MUCH MUCH to our dismay we didn't hear your brogue so I did a web search on you and came up with this blog. I'm disappointed to say the least but after all of the stupid changes they made over the last year..with Mike leaving the Morning show (and John going to afternoon's, etc) it doesn't surprise me. They have lost 2 more loyal fans in us. Never again will I bother to listen on the web..nor in Seattle when we visit. YOU are worth it to us. Thanks for sharing your love and passion for music with all of us. We hope to hear you on the air again soon.
Slainte,
Jill and Brian
Dude, the Mountain can suck it!! You're way too talented for those arse's anyway!
I'll miss your great playlist, & of course your sexy voice!
Good luck.
It just dawned on me that I hadn't heard you on Sunday Brunch for a while and was really sad to hear what happened from your blog. Too bad that KMTT didn't have the guts to stand up to the stupid FCC rules. Having just listened this morning to Sunday Brunch, it is really not the same show without you (really miss the lilting tones of your voice, not to mention the great music selection...the DJ they had on was just SO wrong for the format). Anyway, like others here, hope to hear you on the airwaves soon. I guess I'll go back to listening to my own tunes on Sunday mornings...sigh! I will be sending KMTT a note about my unhappiness!
-Izabelle
Just wanted you to know that Sunday Brunch isn't and will never be the same without you! Sorry about your misfortune and the misfortune it has caused all your devoted listeners. Thanks for many enjoyable rides to church!
That is really sad to hear, I have been listening to 103.7 since day one. I did send a email. Best wishes Drew! Matt in Kirkland.
Hey Drew, dude, y'all know there's a recession here in li'l ol' Ireland. But your blog, man, it's something else! Ya big bollocks!!
